A Beautiful Property Where the Whole Family Can Relax and Enjoy Nature in Comfort
Bedrooms
We offer four spacious comfortable bedrooms and three large family areas where you and friends can enjoy spending time together. Our property is fully furnished with two master bedrooms with attached baths, one on the main level and the other on the lower level as well as another bedroom on each level.
Kitchen and Dining Area
The kitchen and dining area sit on the main level of the home and forms a natural gathering place where you can sit at the breakfast bar and watch the meal go together.
Our kitchen is equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, dishwasher, trash compactor, and ample space to serve the meals. We also have a complete selection of pots, pans, plates, and silverware. The dining room table can comfortably seat six.
The vaulted ceiling has exposed beams and view to the loft, and the south facing windows provide a great view of the oak tree tops, and the south deck is just a step away if you prefer to move outside.
A high-chair and a booster are available for kids dining, along with a pack and play so that you can keep the kids close on the same level but away from the activity of the dining area for nap time.
Restoration Project
Our staff works with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Department of Agriculture, and local conservation consultants to restore 10-15 acres to a pollinator prairie and an additional 25 acres to native oak savanna. We are also restoring and improving 18 acres of land along a section of Sawmill Creek Trout Stream on our property. The project is currently in its planning stages but soon enough, you will see the transformation of the area.
We have completed phase one of the Prairie and Oak Savanna restoration process and have met with representatives of various State and Federal agencies to develop a plan. This includes the codification of our goals and the timetable of the work. If all goes well, the pollinator prairie should be in full bloom and completed in one to two years and the oak savanna should be restored in two to three years.
The next step is to work on the hard part, which involves spraying and replanting of the prairie and brush clearing on the steep oak covered hillsides. We will then begin the wetland restoration once we finish the Prairie and Oak Savanna projects.
